Have your say on the EES banner

An important opportunity to have your say on the VNI West Environment Effects Statement

Transmission Company Victoria (TCV) is required to prepare an Environment Effects Statement (EES) for the Victorian component of the VNI West project. The EES is the most rigorous assessment of the environmental impact of a project in Victoria and requires a wide range of environmental, social and technical studies.

Environment Effects Statement Draft Scoping Requirements

This is your opportunity to have your say on what you think should be considered in the EES. You can provide feedback to the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) on the draft scoping requirements through the government website Engage Victoria:

Provide Feedback

Until Wednesday 18 December 2024.

EES Webinar

TCV invites you to attend a webinar where DTP will explain the EES process, the draft scoping requirements and how to give feedback. Please note the webinar will be recorded for those who are unable to attend.

Chat with the TCV team

Charlton, Kerang and Stawell recently hosted landholders, community members and TCV project specialists for a series of information sessions focused on the recently released preferred easement for the VNI West transmission project.

We would like to thank everyone for taking the time to visit us and hope you found the sessions valuable.

Communities can expect to see more of TCV in their towns, as we establish a regular presence through our regional pop-ups program, progressing into mid-December and re-commencing in mid-January 2025.

TCV will rotate between Charlton, Kerang, Boort, Donald and Stawell each week, hearing from community members directly, responding to questions and sharing project information.

  • Kerang IGA – Wednesday, December 4, 11:30am-12:30pm
  • Charlton, 30-34 High Street – Wednesday, December 4, 2:30pm-3:30pm
  • Boort Court House – Thursday, December 5, 11:30am-12:30pm
  • Donald LPO – Wednesday, December 11, 9:00am-10:00am
  • Stawell Pop Up Park (next to Town Hall) – Wednesday, December 11, 11:30am-12:30pm

Throughout the EES process, TCV will actively engage with local communities, Traditional Owners and landholders within the project study area.

The more local input that is received as part of the EES process - providing information on relevant issues that the community is most concerned about - the more comprehensive the EES will be.
